Medistri, a provider of contract sterilisation and laboratory services for the healthcare industry, has received its updated Carbon Emissions Report, confirming that its Sterilisation services now emit an average of 25.2 kg of CO₂ per pallet. This marks a 7% reduction compared to the previously reported 27 kg.
The report was finalised in early 2025 and was developed in accordance with ISO 14064 standards and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. It is based on verified operational data collected across Medistri’s infrastructure and reflects the outcome of sustained improvement efforts across its sterilisation operations.
“This update builds on the foundations laid with our first Carbon Emissions Report,” said Sylvain Vasseur, Technical Manager at Medistri. “It represents measurable progress and provides our partners with reliable data to support their own sustainability strategies.”
Medistri released its first Carbon Emissions Report in 2023. The company continues to prioritise transparency and traceability, helping healthcare manufacturers better understand the environmental impact of their supply chains.
The newly reported average of 25.2 kg CO₂ per pallet now serves as the reference point for customers using Medistri’s services.
Founded in 2006, Medistri operates from its headquarters in Domdidier, Switzerland, and its facility in Hungary, providing integrated sterilisation and laboratory services. Medistri works alongside companies in the pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology sectors to strengthen their processes and accelerate delivery to market.
The updated Carbon Emissions Report is available on request to Medistri’s customers and on-site auditors. For more information, please visit our website here or contact contact@medistri.com.
